Hollywood stars are shining bright throughout OFR's season! Olympia Dukakis, Kathleen Turner, Richard Chamberlain, and Dana Delany are in our season's lineup!

The Lesbian Film Festival is coming with two shows! Some of the best lesbian shorts ever! With the theme of love and friendship, these films will offer up plenty of comedy and love - both sexy and sweet! If you missed KISS ME, there will be an encore screening at our early bird show. Go to both shows for only $15!

March 3 will bring Cloudburst, our season centerpiece film starring Olympia Dukakis! Tickets are already selling fast! This powerful, funny, poignant film - without a doubt - deserves an Oscar.

May 5 is our season finale with The Perfect Family, starring Kathleen Turner. A fabulous funny and heartwarming film about a religious mother who must accept her family (especially her very out lesbian daughter) as they are. It's all about the journey of acceptance and the power of love to heal. Tickets will be sale Feb 1st.

Out! For Reel

It Takes Community to Build Community

Out! For Reel LGBT Film Series, based in Northampton, MA, is the popular lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender film series for New England.  Showing the best in award-winning LGBT films from around the world, OFR’s events occur over a nine month season. Breaking attendance records and drawing sell out crowds of 800 attendees at the Academy of Music Theatre in Northampton, Out! For Reel has established itself as a highly regarded and popular LGBT cultural events organization throughout New England.

Out! For Reel is now the largest LGBT film series of its kind in the United States. OFR’s events are equivalent in size and scope to the opening night of LGBT film festivals in New York, Boston, Chicago, and Philadelphia. By stepping outside the standard film festival’s structure, Out! For Reel is able to give each selected film the full attention and individualized promotion it deserves.

Out! For Reel’s mission is to create and strengthen our LGBT community through film and cultural events, build strong ties with our heterosexual allies, and work toward the eradication of homophobia in our community through the arts.

Attending an Out! For Reel event is much more than going to a movie – it is a huge LGBT community happening that’s not to be missed. From the door prizes to the after film parties, OFR fans know that an Out! For Reel show means a great night out on the town LGBT style.

Launched in September, 2008, and now in Season 4, Out! For Reel has received strong support for our work. The Advisory Board for Out! For Reel and our 50+ volunteer pool comprise of a broad spectrum of community leaders, artists, and professionals. In addition, there are many businesses and organizations who show their support of Out! For Reel through their sponsorships or donated services.

We are very thankful to the powerful and inspiring support from our LGBT and Ally communities in Western Mass and throughout New England and New York. We ask our supporters to help us to continue to grow by forwarding our emails to their networks, join us on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter. Together we are creating an LGBT powerhouse of connection and community. And that’s on top of the fun we have!
